Time Passes Too Quickly

I stumbled upon my blog today, which is the first time since the last post back in 2011. Looking back I didn't realise it had been so long, make you realise just how quick time passes you by.

So whats been happening in work?
Well I left my job at the SEO company, decided to go self-employed writing Press Releases and now I am studying to apply for my PGCE Primary at university. I think I may have found my calling in Teaching but who knows...I am young and I am still finding what is right for me.

In life itself...
I am living in the same house with the same man and the same two cats, however, I am now engaged (as of June 2012). We sort of have ideas to get married in 2015 but who knows, there are just so many other things that should take priority before pulling out for an expensive wedding. Things such as owning our own home for a start!

Travelling...
I have been to Gambia twice now which was fantastic but with a 1k price increase on last year we decided to head somewhere different but with the same hot temperature and sunshine. So, we headed out to Hurghada in Egypt in February and thoroughly enjoyed it. We were in a 5* water park with numerous restaurants, bars and activities all in one resort. The temperature was 90 degrees most days and in 2 weeks we saw 1 day of cloud. Needless to say it is all a distant memory now :-(

I want to say Thanks to the people who have still been visiting my blog over the last two years, I was surprised to see it was still drawing in quite an interest.

Beautiful Bridal Lingerie

It’s been lovely weather today – sun is still shining, weather is still sweet and I’m stuck inside looking for a wedding gown and some bridal stuff for a mate of mine whose (rather prematurely I think) tying the proverbial in a tongue twist of springtime amazement. So I’m checking out: Betty and Belle’s bridal lingerie because there’s some fantabulous corset there that would be ideal for my voluptuous and sexy mate. Now I’m great at sorting out my own looks and clothes, but I have the feeling that I might turn my long trusted and loyal friend into a puff pastry meringue if I’m not careful…so, I thought I’d call upon your advice…Let me know what you reckon to these lovely (IMO) sets of shimmering bridal lingerie from www.bettyandbelle.co.uk

Unfulfilled New Year's Resolution

Well I know I said I was going to start uploading images to my blog, and it still hasn’t happened. I do have a reason (excuse) for this...I posted the blog a couple of days before my holidays meaning I was away for two weeks, since being back I have been extremely busy with work.

In future I need to make new year’s resolutions that do not take much time to achieve.

New years Resolution

I know it is two months in but after much deliberation I have finally decided on a new years resolution. As of, well now, I have decided to take a different picture everyday and publish it on my blog.

There are actually two reasons for this:

1. I love taking photos of anything and everything. Photographs to me are memories that cannot be erased. Over time I have an extensive collection of photos from over the years, since before I can remember, these photos help patch together the parts of my past I don't remember, they are the pictures to the person I am today.

2. Uploading a picture to my blog everyday is a great way of keeping it updated.

So, as for the actually upload of pictures, I am thinking about starting when I get back from Gambia. Wish happy holidays.....!!!!!

Cash for Christmas

Want to know a quick way to get a little extra cash? Well search your drawers and cupboards and Sell your mobile phone. It couldn’t be easier.
With the Christmas season quickly approaching, you can’t afford to be hanging to things for a rainy day. If you look and dig deep enough you are bound to be able to find some sort of old mobile hanging around.
I decided to have a little sift through the boxes in my attic and come across a very very old orange Motorola, which I believe was the first ever mobile phone I owed. I also came across my 5year old Nokia N95 which was an amazing phone at the time but lets face it its not exactly the best phone out there now.
So with these phones in hand I searched the internet and found a great deal for the both of them with a direct bank transfer so no messing around cashing cheques. I was over the moon with my money I was awarded and I didn’t even need the chargers and accessories.
So why don’t you get off your sofa and get digging in the cupboards this weekend and see how much money you can make for a couple of hours work. It will be worth it!

Your Vision is Your Choice

People today are becoming more controlled by vanity and what other people think of them, so when you get told you need to wear glasses the choices are endless. There are rimless spectacles, retro glasses, designer eyewear and then contact lenses.

Most people given the choice would go for contact lenses leaving onlookers to know no different. However, some of us have a little problem with sticking our fingers in our eyes several times a day and so go for the next best thing – rimless spectacles.

When choosing your new rimless spectacles there are certain things you need to take in to consideration:
  • The shape of your face
Depending on the shape of your face you can determine what size and shape lenses you will suit.
  • Skin tone
Skin tone need to be considered to decide whether you will suit rimless spectacles or bold frames.
  • Hair colour
Again, like skin tone hair colour can determine whether you will suit full frames, half rims or full rimless spectacles.

Best advice anyone can give when looking for new glasses is; shop about. You will be surprised to find that once you have the prescription you can buy rimless spectacles, bendable frames, bifocal lenses and even prescription sunglasses online.
